    • HVAC operations 101 
      • Standard system of operations (what steps does a furnace take to heat a home) 
      • Maintenance procedures- How to ensure a system is clean and working properly. 
      • Configuration- how to set the thermostat to the customer’s preference
      • Nomenclature- Learn how to identify what kind of furnace and venting you are working with based on the model number. Learn the names of all the components in the unit. 
      • Disassembly and reassembly- Take a part and see all the different components and how they work together to heat a home. Start up a reassembled furnace 
      • Set gas pressures, measure delta t amp draws, check safety. 
    • Basic Electrical Theory 
      • Hands-on removal of an electric panel, test voltage, and operation of the panel.  
    • Basic Electrical Theory

    • Basic Plumbing  
      • Disassemble a gas water heater and learn how to properly flush a tank. 
    • Refrigeration 
      • Theory of refrigeration- How does an AC cool a home 
      • Pump and recharge an air conditioner or heat pump 
      • Learn how to start up an AC unit with testing of delta t, super heat, subcooling, and manifold operation.  
      • How to use your gauges for testing 
    • Advanced training 
      • Continued education of advanced HVAC, plumbing, and electrical operations in the field and at our university.
